Training Opportunities

There are many options for training in ministry with youth and renewal as leaders in youth ministry.  Here are a few that are worth considering.  If you have others you would recommend, add a comment, and don’t miss the note below about a possible scholarship source to attend one of these events.

Princeton Forum on Youth Ministry, Apr. 26-28, 2010, in Princeton, and repeating every fall and spring

Youth Worker Summit, Dec. 1-4, 2010, in Orlando at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort

Simply Youth Ministry Conference (SYMC), March 4-7, 2011, in Chicago

Perkins School of Youth Ministry, TBA (usually early January) in Dallas, TX

Theological and practical training in youth ministry, sponsored by the Perkins School of Theology at SMU, www.smu.edu/Perkins/PublicPrograms/PSYM

Need funds to go.  Don’t hesitate to ask your church to invest in youth ministry by supporting your efforts to increase your education, but also visit the Indiana Youth Institute website and apply for continuing education support (you need to apply well in advance and there are no guaranteed funds).
