What do your students say about the Bible?
I’m at the NYWC in Cincinnati and hope to post any resources and ideas that may be worth sharing. In the pre-conference workshop I’m attending the question of what students think about the Bible was posed. Can you relate to any of these answers: intimidating, boring, irrelevant? Yet we know it is central to our faith, filled with vibrant stories of God’s people, filled with our story. So how do we teach the Bible to youth? We tell the story. Michael Novelli has created some fantastic resources that will help you rethink how you put the Bible back at the center of ministry. Check out the website www.echothestory.com for free resources, and check out his book (you’ll find a link in my list).
